It is amazing watching your baby learn to do something we all take for granted each day. Sawyer has now taken many steps, up to 15 at a time before he falls. It won't be long and he will be running right along with his brother and sister.
He can cruise the furniture and walls so fast you almost lose him if you don't keep your eyes on him. The steps are a reminder that he is growing up, that he no longer is a baby, but becoming a toddler. Your child learns to take those first steps so that they can walk into their new classroom on their first day of preschool, walk to the park without a grown up, walk across the stage to get a diploma, walk down the aisle to get married.
So to him it is steps to catch up to his siblings or to get from point A to B faster, but I see it as so much more. It is these steps that are shaping the rest of his life. SNIFF, SNIFF! Our kids grow up way to fast.
