I have decided to start a blog for the happenings in the durr house. I will try and post frequently on the news and updates of our family. Please post and let me know you are reading this too, that would be great!
The kids started outdoor swimming lessons this week, and the first day was a complete washout, literally. I called several times asking if there was lessons, they said "Yep, if it is bad weather, we will have a safety day" I pick Atley and Carson up from playtown, an hour before it normally ends. I woke Sawyer up 45 minutes early to make it to lessons, and then they have just a safety day because of the weather. No big deal, but as we are leaving after only 10 minutes, there is a torrental downpour. Ok, now I have 2 kids who are freaked out by the huge sheets of rain pelting us, and a baby in the stroller, who is practically drowning. We made it to the car, and I loaded 3 kids in, buckled them and then collapsed and loaded the stroller. What a site this must of been. I looked like a drowned rat!!
Day 2 of lessons was better weather but still added challenges of 3 kids and how to keep them all safe and in my site. I used the stroller again to corral Sawyer since he wants to be down and moving all the time. I pushed him out to the pool with the kids tagging behind, when a young lifegaurd maybe 17 says "You can't have the stroller out here" Are you serious I thought to myself. I then stated " He is much safer in the stroller then in my arms right now, I am trying to get 2 kids over to lessons without them running or falling in the pool, I am going in and right out again." I understand that they can't have strollers out by the pool in case it would get pushed in the pool but really what was it hurting for 5 minutes while I got the kids to the pool. The manager said, "don't worry about it" I thought to myself, don't mess with this mom on a mission.

Yeah, back off lifeguard... Obviously they don't know what its like to have kids!!
I'm super excited you've got a blog going... its fun to sit and journal your thoughts. And something you can print off for the kids to have when they're older (Guess moms are supposed to do that kinda stuff) I'll be one of your faithful readers :-)
Very entertaining, Lynnsey. I am proud of the efforts you go to for my grandchildren. They are wonderful children (I am not at all prejudiced), and they have a great Mom.
